Most new things are created by people who are searching for something that does not seem to exist or who simply want to do things in a way that others won’t allow. After more than a decade of working in the editorial departments of a major publishing house, I found myself to be one of them.
I created Aaino as a home for all the things I wanted to share, all the stories I wanted to tell. I wanted to build a platform that brings the thoughtfulness of the printed page into the digital space, a platform that celebrates the written word as well as the spoken one, the moving image as much as the still. I wanted to create a dynamic brand that lives and grows alongside its community, both within Switzerland and, hopefully, beyond. I wanted to create a space that is deeply personal—not just for me, but for all the incredible people I have the privilege of sharing it with.
